MONSIEUR AQUA LUNG

Golden Age

After the French government capitulated to the invasion of Germany, they attempted to exert control of their forces abroad. Many of these forces refused and joined the Allied war effort. One sad story is of the French fleet that had gone deep into the Mediterranean, refusing the collaboratists French, but also refusing the Allies. Fearing that this fleet may one day turn against them, the Allies destroyed the fleet. A terrible day for all as many brave Frenchmen went to their deaths needlessly. One sailor, a trained expert in the skills of the frogman, was there that day. Witnessing the devastation and the loss of life, he became enraged. He vowed to destroy the countries behind this tragedy. In his shell-shocked mania though, he blamed not only the Allies, but his own government and the Nazis as well. He became Monsieur Aqua Lung, terrorist leader of an army of disgruntled refugees and deserting soldiers. He used all his training and insane genius to devise traps and sabotage that nearly killed the Freedom Society. His one weakness though was the lovely Liberty's Flame, who he hoped one day to seduce into joining his battle against the continent. The reverse happened though as toward the end of the war, he gave his life to save hers as the Freedom Society was trying to capture fleeing war criminals, blowing himself and the fleeing Nazis up as well.
